A friend called me one day to catch up after we hadn’t talked in awhile. She’s known me a long time, and had grown used to my life being very full and hectic. At one point she asked, “So what ARE you doing? Nothing?” I gave a vague answer about doing stuff and taking lots of pictures.
At work (as in at my paying job😂), I thought that I have learned words and phrases that could better capture what the past few years have looked like for me. Truthfully, it has been a period of reconstruction of my faith. While a lot of people are Dr-constructing their faiths right now, for me I have been reconnecting with God and deepening in my faith walk.
I have also been catching up on some things that needed doing.
And I have been discovering new outlets for my creativity and curiosity. I hope and believe that I am gearing up to use what I have been learning.
But for now, I thought I would take a quick pictorial walk through my recent past.
I have become a pretty avid bird watcher.

I fixed some stuff.

Tried some new things:

Found a bunch of new ponds!

Had a bucket list birding experience during the annual migration of our feathered friends that takes place every winter.

And finally….got started training a new generation of gardeners!

Sooo, I’ve been doing stuff and taking lots of pictures. I expect there’s plenty more of that in my future.
Very well written Colleen. You are an amazing photographer c
