I didn’t always know the Lord. We aren’t born with a full knowledge of Him in our hearts. We come at some point to understand that Jesus died for us. We have a choice then as to what to do with that knowledge. Romans 5:7 tells us, “For scarcely for a righteous man will one die, yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But He commends His love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
I was not that righteous person, nor even that GOOD person, but a vile sinner when Jesus died for me. You might ask me, “Well, what did you do that was so bad?” Honestly, I was no worse than you are. We need a Savior. And we have one, a matchless Savior. God tells us that Jesus’ death and our acceptance justifies us in the sight of God. He loved me first. No wonder I love Him!
Then, every day I am reminded of Him by His glorious people. I have lived most of my life among the faithful. It has been my privilege to walk among the giants. I’m not saying the saints of God are perfect. I am puzzled at some who think that Christianity is for old women and children. It takes a real man to walk by faith, my friend. It’s not a job for the faint of heart and shirkers. My faith is strengthened every day by the walk of some faithful servant of God. Be careful how you step. You don’t know who is watching you.
I know God as a constant reality with me always. In one of the C.S. Lewis books, Aslan says to the children, “You have known me a little here, you will know me better there.”

I am one of those children with endless questions. There they will always be answered by Him. When I get there, I’m not going to go looking for my house. I want to see Jesus.
Amen. Can I get a witness?
Will you consider Him today if you have not? There could be no greater gift. No experience in this life can measure up to that of knowing Him and being His child. I hope YOU will fall in love with Him, too!
