My friend’s dog, Hope, was unfortunately let loose from her secure back yard by an errant car careening into the fence. In the aftermath, Hope took off, and two weeks later is still on the run.
Since I love to drive around and take pictures, I figured I would combine a search for Hope with a photo opportunity. We drove for miles and miles, past so many abodes and buildings. Not to mention the vast farm fields of northern Jennings County.
We saw so many wonderful farms and homesteads on our journey, but no Hope.

The spiritual implications are pretty clear here. As we journey through our lives, we are always on the lookout for something hopeful. Something that gives us joy and purpose and peace.
Romans 15:13 says this, “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may ABOUND in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”
Being out in nature gives me hope. The old barns remind me of long-lasting structures that have offered safety, and protection and food for life.

The God I know also gives structure and promises refuge and shelter. My prayer is that you know Him on a personal basis. As the foundation and refuge that gives your life joy and HOPE.
