Today I want to say why I love Jesus. Like you, I love the Word of God. I love its Author! I love its stories. I have found in my long life that people of all ages love to hear about Jesus. The message you tell a little child, “Jesus loves you,” is the same one his father needs to hear.
Think of it! The mute spoke. The deaf heard. The blind saw. The halt and the lame, they walked! Demons cast out, the dead were raised to life, the sinners pardoned and forgiven. Over 5,000 fed with five loaves and two small fishes. The storms were calmed. Water was changed to wine. Water was walked on with those glorious feet!
He was hung on a cross and crucified, but he rose again! And at a certain point in time, he forgave THIS SINNER!
Is it any wonder that we love him? And then he made promises to his church that he is bound to keep, because he is God, and he has given his word.
